My Role: Packaging / Graphic Designer

DESIGN DIRECTION

In collaboration with Argentum’s Creative Director and Founder I worked on several aspects of this project. My initial focus was on creating packaging that would initiate a user’s journey of discovery.

I assisted in developing the box and pop-up mechanism with an external production house. My task was then to create artwork for the pop-up box, ensuring it maintained the original illustration’s integrity so users could engage with the archetype card’s symbolism as the artist intended.

The next stage of the project was designing a small silver talisman to insert into the bespoke bottle’s lid. Each talisman served a dual purpose: scent identification and a wearable piece of jewellery. This design was then adapted thirteen times, creating a unique talisman for each fragrance.

SAMPLE SIZE PACKAGING

The project’s final stage involved creating packaging for introductory discovery sets, forming a miniature scent library. Alongside the collection of 13, each archetype fragrance was assigned to one of four elements it embodies. These groups were then split into four discovery sample sets.

The result was a celestial map with a central compass housing the elements assigned to the fragrances and ingredients from their corresponding discovery kits. I then split the map into four to form the individual collection sleeves. Retail partners could then stack these kits to create an infinite sky illustration on shelves.
